The Physical Dangers Of Television

When it comes to keeping your home safe for the children, you might want to reconsider getting that home security Manhattan service until you have had a chance to address all the other little dangers in your home. Some of the greatest tragedies in our lives can happen from all the seemingly innocuous problems that lie in wait. Take the television for example. Most of them are flat these days and we have two ways we can enjoy them – fixed to a stand on our entertainment centers or secured against the wall like a picture frame.

These televisions can weigh anywhere from 18 to 20 pounds – that’s more than enough to crush and kill a small child. That’s why you need to take the proper precautions in the TV room when it comes to your child. If you have an entertainment center, make sure the television is up high enough where the child can’t get at it or accidentally tip it over. And if you must hang your television on the wall, make sure you locate the studs and make sure that the television is secure. Television is supposed to be a source of entertainment – don’t let it become hazardous to your child’s health.
