Here is a blurb, from a
recent Shadows Fall interview, done by Electric Basement.com:
On the Japanese version of the album you do a cover of the Dangerous Toys song
"Teas'n Pleas'n" with Jason McMaster doing vocals. How did that come about?
I've been a huge fan of that band since I was young. One time when we were out
with King Diamond I was wearing a Dangerous Toys shirt on stage in Austin. He
heard about it, checked out the band, and ended up emailing us. We became
friends online. We were thinking what we wanted to do for the bonus track and
decided to do a Toys song and see if Jason wants to do some vocals. Originally
we just sent him a DAT and told him to record everything and we'll figure out
what we want to use and what we don't. We got the tape back of him doing the
whole song and we said, "Fuck that, we're done." We dropped the tuning a little
bit, made it heavier, and his voice was just unbelievable. We were in Austin on
the last tour and got him up on stage and did it live. It was so much fun.
There were only about 10 people in the audience who knew what was going on, but
they loved it.
